No, they didn’t stop issuing updates for Ad-Aware SE Home Edition at the end of 2007. That’s just not true!
I just updated my copy with no problem. And for what it does, free, there is no better anti-adware removal. I hope you find something else.
superantispyware is a good tool to have and run along with adaware 2007 that is still updating. good luck.

You are out of date. There is an entire new version for lavasoft, Sweden Ad-Aware 2007.
This new version is quite strange in design. When you update for new updates after the first update, the new date will not show, unless you close out the software an open again. (You are not told this).
When you scan, you will not see the spyware/adware. You have to look at the center top part of the screen, “private object”. Right click with your mouse and the found spyware will open, then click on remove. then click on finished to close the program.
You should also download the free version of Superantispyware. This program is well known to find what all other miss or unable to delete.
